Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use free-calculator.app (the “Site”) and how it is used. We keep data collection to a minimum.

Who runs this Site

The Site is operated by Maciej Jurek, a private individual based in Poland, who is the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us at contact@free-calculator.app.

Your calculations stay on your device

All calculations are performed in your browser. We do not send, receive or store the numbers you type. Your calculation history and settings (for example light or dark mode, Basic or Scientific mode, degrees or radians) are saved only in your own browser's local storage. You can delete them at any time with the “Clear” button or by clearing your browser data.

To choose sensible defaults (for example the currency), the page reads your browser's time zone and language. This information is never sent anywhere.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. These logs are used only to keep the Site secure and working, and are kept for a limited period. Our hosting provider is located in Poland.

Advertising and cookies

The Site is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show ads based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's My Ad Center.
• You can learn how Google uses data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

Contacting us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not sell or share your details.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email contact@free-calculator.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO).

Children

The Site is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new features. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
